Sorare is excited to announce a forthcoming revamp of our Referral Program, introducing a new rewards system based on credits. This change comes as part of our commitment to make the Sorare fantasy experience more rewarding and secure for our dedicated Manager community.
In response to community feedback, we are transitioning from card-focused rewards to a credit-based program. This new system will provide Managers with more flexibility, allowing them to use credits on the Marketplace while helping us combat fraud on the platform.
Before delving into the details of the new Referral Credits, we want to address the issue of referral fraud and abuse. Despite our best efforts to detect and prevent fraudulent activities, it does occasionally occur. We encourage our community to report any suspicious activities, ensuring that Sorare remains a trusted and thriving community for all sports fans.
The shift to Referral Credits has been influenced by your valuable feedback. While receiving specific digital player cards as referral rewards is exciting, we understand that it may leave Managers wanting more flexibility in terms of reward utility. With Referral Credits, we aim to provide you with more options and ownership in tailoring rewards to your preferences and goals.
Here's how Referral Credits work: they operate like coupons that can be used to purchase Sorare digital player cards directly from the Primary Sales Market, allowing you to expand your collection and strengthen your fantasy teams.
The rollout of Referral Credits will be staggered and will come with specific requirements. Until the mid-October launch, referrers will receive credits when they refer someone who buys five new cards or a starter pack within 30 days of signing up. As the referrer, you will enjoy a 50% discount on your Primary Market purchases, up to €20/£20/$20 in total credits. You have a seven-day window to utilize that credit, but please note that the card purchased with the credits cannot be resold for 14 days.
During the mid-October launch and thereafter, both referrers and referees will receive a 50% discount on Primary Market purchases, up to €20/£20/$20 in total credits. The seven-day redemption window and 14-day resell embargo still apply.
As you refer more Managers to Sorare, you can accumulate credits. For example, if you make two successful referrals in a single day, you will receive a 50% discount on your Primary Market purchases, up to €40/£40/$40, and your window to purchase a card with those credits will reset to seven days.
The Referral Program will continue to have milestones that feature card rewards alongside the new credit system. For a specified number of valid referrals, you will earn different tiers of Limited, Rare, Super Rare, and Unique Cards.
Earning Referral Credits is straightforward. Simply invite your friends, family, and fellow sports fans by sharing your referral link found at sorare.com/invite. Your new referee will be eligible for Referral Program rewards once they purchase five cards or a starter pack from Sorare's Primary Market within 30 days of signing up.
