Each player earns an individual point score during Gameweeks. The sum of the scores of the five selected players is crucial for performance in Sorare tournaments. If a player doesn't participate in a match, they naturally do not earn any points – this is commonly referred to as a "DNP" (Did Not Play), which should be avoided at all costs!
When it comes to calculating the scores, there is an initial distinction to be made. On one hand, there is the previously mentioned percentage point bonus, which is derived from various attributes of the player cards. However, the foundation of the score is the performance points, awarded based on the player's on-field performance (maximum 100). Sorare collaborates with the British sports analytics company Opta Sports for this purpose.
Now, let's break down the performance points into two categories: the Decisive Score and the All-Around Score. The Decisive Score is a sort of overarching evaluation (you could also call it a point foundation) influenced by decisive actions such as goals, own goals, assists, or even red cards.
These actions determine a player's performance level on a scale from -3 to 5. Each level corresponds to a specific point value: A starting player always begins at Level 0 with 35 points. For instance, if they score a goal, they move up to Level 1, earning 60 points. Another goal or an assist would grant them an additional 10 points (Level 2), while a red card would regress them to Level 0.
