You assemble a team using your cards and enter them into contests. Your players earn points based on how they perform in real-life matches. The better they play, the more points you accumulate.
You can acquire cards by buying them from the Sorare marketplace, trading with other users, or participating in auctions. Some cards are also given as prizes in tournaments.
